This project was all about showing the soul of Chandlers Lodge — a cosy family-run B&B where every detail is made with love.
Objectives.
Most of the hotel's bookings were made through Booking.com, which meant losing part of their profits due to the service's commission. The owners wanted guests to book directly through their website - but to do so, they needed to inspire trust, show the atmosphere of the place, and create an emotional connection with potential visitors.
Solutions from SeeJee and Telling video
We worked in collaboration with the Telling video brand, where we were looking for a solution for the client. We offered to create a comprehensive video package that included:
- a promotional video for the website that conveys the hotel's atmosphere and demonstrates its unique advantages;- a series of short reels for social media that show the details of the stay, the care of the staff and real moments from the hotel's life.
Goal
Show more than just the rooms - convey a sense of relaxation, comfort, and care so that the viewer immediately wants to book a room directly.
The goal was to shift more bookings from third-party platforms like Booking.com to the guesthouse’s own website by building trust and emotional connection through video storytelling.
Our video has become not just content, but a tool for trust and growth of independent bookings.
We spent two full filming days on-site, working closely with the owners, Rob and Natalie.
Day one was all about atmosphere. We captured the garden in morning light, the warmth of the rooms, the breakfast area, and all the little touches that make guests feel instantly at home — fresh flowers, flickering candles, soft textures, and a sense of calm that fills every corner.
Day two focused on food and personality. Rob, who personally prepares special dishes for guests, created a beautiful meal on camera — a highlight that reflects the couple’s care and attention to every visitor. This homemade touch became one of the central themes of the video package.
Throughout the process, Rob and Natalie were deeply involved, helping us prepare each space and contributing ideas that made the shoot even more authentic. Their genuine warmth translated perfectly on screen, resulting in a video collection that feels inviting, trustworthy, and unmistakably “Chandlers Lodge.”
